About Dr. J.D. Murray, DDS Dr. Murray has been a caring and dedicated dental professional for over twenty years. He earned a B.S degree in psychology and zoology from the prestigious Howard University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Murray also received his DDS degree from the Howard University College of Dentistry in 1982. His esteemed career began as a Captain in the U.S Dental Corps with the United States Army, where he served for three years. Dr. Murray launched his private dental practice in 1986 in Atlanta, GA, Where he continues to provide expert dental care to hundreds of patients each year. Dr. Murray remains in the forefront of the dental profession and pampers his patients with the most advanced dental education, service, technology and procedures. As the owner and director of the Atlanta institute of dental careers, Dr. Murray produces highly trained and compassionate dental assistants and office personnel. The world- renowned international congress of Oral Implantologists named Dr. Murray one of their first Diplomats in the state of Georgia. He is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentists, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Georgia Dental Association. Dr. Murray is actively involved in the community, leading the x Good Deed Contestx which benefits school-aged children and has earned several community excellence awards. His hobbies include photography, art collecting, reading, and traveling. Dr. Murray and his wife Celeste, are the proud parents of 3 children, Jovanni, Jhovan and Christina.
